A Visit To The Lavender Fields

Another roadtrip weekend, this time a 5-hours drive to Valensole, Provence in South of France to see the beautiful fields of lavender. They fully bloom in early July though, but when we went there, the view was beautiful enough to make us smile...:)

Lavender fields are scattered all around the city, but one that is very well maintained and perfect for picture taking is the Lavande Angelvin where they also have a shop selling fresh lavender flowers and products next to it. We also went to the L'occitane Museum and Shop, the actual place where the brand L'occitane all started.

Anyway, the two restaurants I recommend you guys to eat in Valensole are Le P'tit Resto and  La Campagne De Petre. While the first one is located within the city center among many other restaurants and cafes (their beef burger is sooooo good), the latter is located on top of a hill surrounded by lavender fields only. Imagine a single restaurant and nothing else on top of a hill. The journey to reach this restaurant is quite tough though because the roads are rocky and winding but once you reach the top and taste the food, you will not regret. I myself had their prawn dish and it was magnificent!
